The Macro Drawing Project, 2019-2024

I have come to be endlessly fascinated by the minuscule in nature and in discovering how much information it holds with its intricate and complex structures and patterns. While drawing I am forced to slow down, not to make assumptions and let my eye travel into this miniature world of a biotic cosmos, using such as things as a tiny weed or plant tissue.  It turns into something that look both unfamiliar and strangely familiar and reminds me of other structures like spheres and patterns on animal skin and even manmade ones, like geometric shapes, architecture and cathedrals domes.
